Minnesota Resources for Employees
Upon submitting a completed application, all applicants will receive a complimentary packet of tips for employees, including information about parenting, caregiving and building resiliency. Here are Minnesota resources who are ready to help employees handle work-life issues. Children, Youth and Family Consortium (CYFC) Midwest Institute for Telecommuting Education (MITE) MITE has 17 years of experience in advising employees with disabilities on how to move to either PT or FT remote work options in their existing jobs. The Staying On the Job program works specifically with employees who are experiencing difficulties in keeping their jobs due to disability challenges. The employee chooses the approach that best preserves his/her dignity and confidentiality. A team approach is also coordinated among the employee, human resources and the supervisor to develop a flexible solution that meets the job and ADA requirements Jane Anderson, Director janderson@resource-mn.org
National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) http://www.fatherhood.org/resources.asp The NFI was founded in 1994 to lead a society-wide movement to confront the problem of father absence. NFI's mission is to improve the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible, and committed fathers. The link below connects to NFI’s “Resources for Dads” web page which among many other items includes Articles on Fatherhood.
