About Work-Life

In this section you'll learn the business case for implementing a more supportive culture, including work-life programs, policies and practices. You'll get suggestions for ways to be supportive and you'll find out how those acts will pay off for your organization. You'll also get tips about how to get started, and a list of what small employers can do.

Business Case

The Business Case, along with a more detailed version, provides an overview of the organizational benefits of implementing work-life policies, practices and programs. It is focused on end results and bottom line impacts.

Work Practices

This section offers tips and tools you can use as well as a wealth of information about flexibility and the flexible work arrangements. How can they be used as a strategy for making your organization more effective? What stops them from being successful? There are specific tips for telecommuters, a section on other companies' experience with telecommuting, a discussion about job sharing and Sample Guidelines for Flexible Work Arrangements.
