Minnesota Companies Honored for Work-Life Balance

The Minnesota Work-Life Champions Partnership on Thursday honored 19 local companies for implementing programs that allow employees to better balance their work and home life.

The awards were broken out based on company size.

Honorees include:

Outstanding Employer: Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, Rochester

50 - 249 Employees Category

Outstanding Employer: Certes Financial Pros, St. Louis Park

250 - 999 Employees Category

Outstanding Employer: Gray Plant Mooty, Minneapolis

Winners of the partnership's Innovative Initiative Award include: Certes Financial Pros, Dorsey & Whitney, Mayo Clinic and Windings. Work-Life Advocate Award certificates were presented to: Ameriprise Financial, Carlson, Karlsson Consulting Group, Inc., Residential Services of NE MN, Inc., Travelers, Virtelligence and Wacosa.

The Work-Life Partnership is comprised of local chambers of commerce, business and professional associations, foundations and nonprofit work-life advocacy organizations. The awards program was initiated by a grant from The McKnight Foundation and is managed by the Center for Ethical Business Cultures with assistance from Work and Family Connection Inc.
